The discovery of a body inside a blue plastic drum in the Sherpur area of Ludhiana has caused a sensation. The police have now reached out to the companies that manufacture these drums to piece together the mystery, aiming to trace the origin of the drum and who purchased it.

The incident occurred in an empty plot in Sherpur, where local residents noticed a foul smell emanating from a blue drum. Upon opening it, they found the body of a young man wrapped in plastic bags. The body had ropes tied around the legs and neck, and there were deep injury marks in several places. Initial investigations suggest the police believe the young man was murdered and his body was concealed in the drum and dumped in a secluded area to conceal his identity.

The police have sent the body for post-mortem examination and are scrutinizing missing person reports in the surrounding police stations to establish identification. Simultaneously, the investigation is progressing by examining the drum's manufacturing and distribution network. Police officers claim that the layers of this sensational incident will be unraveled soon.

Injury Marks on the Body

The police suspect in the initial investigation that the deceased could be a migrant laborer. The condition of the body is quite bad, and identifying it is currently proving difficult. The body has been sent to the civil hospital for a post-mortem. The police are investigating every aspect to solve the murder mystery and identify the body. The recordings of the CCTV cameras installed nearby are also being examined closely to find any clues of suspicious activity.

Police Contacting Drum Manufacturing Companies

Two days after the discovery of a young man's body inside a blue plastic drum in the Sherpur area of Ludhiana, the police have still not been able to identify the deceased. The police, engaged in solving the murder mystery, are now scrutinizing the drum's supply chain. According to SHO Kulwant Kaur of Division No. 6, there are approximately 42 companies in Ludhiana that manufacture such drums, and contact is being made with them to gather information about the purchase and sale of the drum.

Regarding the incident, it was reported that local people had informed the police after noticing a bad smell from an empty plot near Sherpur Chowk. The police, upon reaching the spot, found the body of a young man, approximately 35 years old, in a blue drum. The deceased’s hands were tied with ropes, and there were serious injury marks in many places on the body. The body has been kept safely in the mortuary for now, and the police are investigating all possible angles of the murder.
