Uttarakhand CM Dhami Launches Development Projects Worth ₹550 Crore in Haridwar

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami organized a "Vikas Sankalp Parv" (Development Resolution Festival) in Haridwar to mark the completion of four years of his tenure. During the event, he gifted the people of the state 107 development projects worth 550 crore rupees.

Haridwar: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami organized the Vikas Sankalp Parv in Haridwar to celebrate the completion of four years of his tenure as the Chief Minister of the state, and on this occasion, he offered the people of the state projects worth 550 crore rupees. In a grand ceremony held at the Rishikul Maidan, Dhami inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 107 development projects, which included the inauguration of 100 schemes worth 281 crore rupees and the laying of the foundation stone for 7 new schemes worth 269 crore rupees.

Chief Minister Dhami said on this occasion that development is not an option for him, but a resolution. He clearly stated that since he was given the responsibility of the state four years ago, his aim has been to move Devbhoomi forward in every field.

Inauguration of River Festival, Promoting Religious Tourism in Haridwar

On this occasion, Dhami also inaugurated the River Festival in Haridwar. He offered prayers and gave the message of conservation and cleanliness of the state's rivers. The Chief Minister said that through the River Festival, public participation will be increased for the cleaning and rejuvenation of rivers, so that future generations can get clean and vibrant water sources.

Dhami said that Haridwar is extremely important from a religious and cultural point of view, and by prioritizing development works here, religious tourism will also be promoted.

Expressing Gratitude to PM Modi, Enumerating Achievements of 4 Years

On the completion of 4 years of his tenure, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying, "With the guidance of the respected Prime Minister, these four years have been dedicated to efforts to include Devbhoomi in the best states of the country. The trust with which the people of the state have supported me is my source of inspiration."

Dhami mentioned steps like the Uniform Civil Code, the strict anti-copying law, the anti-conversion law, and the anti-riot law, and said that the government has taken strict decisions to maintain law and order and social harmony.

Strictness on Corruption, Over 23,000 Jobs for Youth

CM Dhami said that the government has adopted a policy of zero tolerance against corruption. Platforms like CM Helpline 1905 and Vigilance App 1064 gave the public the opportunity to make direct complaints, and corrupt officials were sent behind bars. He said that more than 23,000 youths were given government jobs through transparent recruitment, while 30% horizontal reservation was implemented for women, ensuring their b participation. This also affected the unemployment rate of the state, which is now lower than the national average.

Dhami said that in the last 4 years, Uttarakhand has made historic progress through a better balance of connectivity, ecology, and economy. Many new records have been set in road, rail, and ropeway projects, which have given a huge boost to tourism, trade, and employment. He said that to encourage industrial investment, the government has signed MoUs worth 3.5 lakh crore rupees, out of which projects worth 1 lakh crore rupees have been launched.

Efforts towards Religious Tourism and Local Employment

The Chief Minister said that religious tourism is continuously increasing in Uttarakhand. The record-breaking number of devotees visiting the Char Dham Yatra and Kanwar Yatra has provided great support to the local economy. Along with this, direct benefits have been given to the general public of the state through the Home Stay scheme, farmer welfare, expansion of sports facilities, welfare of soldiers, and scholarship schemes.

Dhami said, "We have not only worked to preserve the culture of Devbhoomi, but have also made continuous efforts to make the youth and farmers self-reliant." Chief Minister Dhami clarified from the stage of Vikas Sankalp Parv that Uttarakhand will have an important role in the goal of a developed India 2047. He said, "In the coming years, Uttarakhand is ready to create new milestones in the direction of progress and advancement. Every step of ours will be dedicated to the trust and aspirations of the people."
