He engaged in meetings and discussions until late Saturday night and Sunday, outlining a comprehensive strategy for the 2025 Bihar elections and extending to the 2026 Karnataka elections.

Patna: Union Home Minister and former National President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Amit Shah, revealed the party's strategy for the upcoming 2025 Bihar Assembly elections and the 2026 Karnataka elections. During his visit to Bihar, Shah held meetings with party officials, issuing several key directives. He emphasized reminding the public of Lalu Yadav's regime, aiming to evoke memories of the "Jungle Raj" era and its negative consequences. Shah believes this strategy will be crucial for the NDA alliance in the upcoming assembly elections.

In-depth Discussions with Bihar BJP Leaders

Arriving in Bihar late Saturday evening, Shah first met with BJP MPs, MLAs, and MLCs at the party's state office. He then held separate discussions with the core committee, focusing on electoral strategy. Shah stressed the importance of engaging with marginalized communities in Bihar and highlighting the negative impacts of Lalu's rule.

Karnataka Elections 2026: Shah's Confidence

Shah expressed confidence regarding the 2026 Karnataka elections. He characterized the current Karnataka government as anti-Hindu and corrupt, causing widespread public distress. He assured party workers that by effectively opposing the Congress, the BJP would regain power in Karnataka. Shah also refuted the misinformation spread by opposition parties regarding the redrawing of Lok Sabha constituencies, clarifying that South Indian states would not be disadvantaged by the delimitation process. He accused the opposition of spreading fear among the people.

Gopalganj Visit and Addressing the Cooperative Movement

On Sunday, Shah visited Gopalganj, where he addressed approximately seven thousand people involved in the cooperative movement. He also inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for several projects. After returning from Gopalganj, Shah met with leaders of NDA constituent parties at the Chief Minister's residence. This meeting focused on the alliance's role in the Bihar elections.

Shah's visit has invigorated Bihar BJP workers. The party is hopeful that the NDA alliance will regain power in Bihar.
