Tejaji Temple in Jaipur: Late Friday night, the vandalism of a Veer Tejaji temple idol in Pratap Nagar, Sanganeer area of Jaipur, resulted in widespread tension. Upon learning of the incident, local residents and devotees became enraged and took to the streets in protest on Saturday morning. Police have deployed heavy security forces in the area to control the situation.
Devotees and Hindu Organizations Protest
On Saturday morning, a large number of local residents, devotees, and activists from Hindu organizations took to the streets. Workers from the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal also protested the incident. Angry protesters blocked Tonk Road, demanding strict action against the perpetrators.
Leaders Demand Judicial Inquiry
During the protests, MP Hanuman Beniwal, MLA Vikas Chaudhary, and Ramnivas Gawaria arrived at the scene. They condemned the incident, calling it a conspiracy to hurt religious sentiments, and demanded a judicial inquiry. The leaders pressured the administration to arrest the culprits quickly.
Police Investigation and Tight Security Measures
Heavy police deployment has been made at the site. Pratap Nagar police station personnel and administrative officials are present and trying to restore normalcy. The police have begun examining CCTV footage from the temple and reported finding clues suggesting suspicious activity. Officials have assured that the culprits will be identified and arrested soon.
