Tamil Nadu CM Stalin rejects Yogi Adityanath's accusations against DMK, stating that the BJP is panicked and that lecturing them on hate is political black comedy.

CM Stalin on Yogi Adityanath: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin has bly reacted to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's recent podcast. Stalin stated that the DMK government does not engage in riot politics for votes and that Yogi Adityanath has no right to lecture on this issue. He accused the BJP of pursuing politics of fear and division.

What did Yogi Adityanath say?

During an ANI podcast, Yogi Adityanath targeted the DMK, the ruling party in Tamil Nadu. He claimed that whenever the DMK perceives its vote bank to be threatened, it resorts to divisive politics. He appealed to the public to be wary of such politics. The UP CM questioned the DMK government's opposition to the National Education Policy (NEP)'s three-language formula and delimitation in Tamil Nadu.

Stalin's sharp retort

Stalin said, "Tamil Nadu's 'two-language policy' and our firm voice on 'impartial delimitation' are resonating across the country, causing the BJP to panic. Now, BJP leaders want to lecture us on hate. This is nothing but political black comedy. We do not oppose any language, but we are against imposing anything forcefully and against ultranationalism. This is not riot politics for votes, but a fight for respect and justice."

Yogi Adityanath's comments on the language dispute

Yogi Adityanath stated that the country should not be divided on the basis of language or region. While acknowledging the antiquity of the Tamil language, he said it is as old as Sanskrit and plays a significant role in Indian culture. He questioned why Hindi is opposed if Tamil is given so much respect.

Growing conflict between the DMK government and the BJP

Several disagreements have emerged between the DMK and the BJP in recent months. The DMK government has adopted an aggressive stance against the central government due to its opposition to delimitation and the three-language formula. While the BJP considers this a political issue, the DMK links it to the protection of Tamil Nadu's cultural and linguistic identity.
