He further revealed that the bill has been drafted and will be implemented in Uttarakhand this month.

During the mela, the Chief Minister also shared details about various crucial laws implemented in the state. He highlighted the implementation of anti-conversion laws to curb instances of religious conversion in the state. Furthermore, he mentioned the enactment of stringent anti-riot laws following the disturbances in Haldwani.

The Chief Minister also spoke about the anti-counterfeiting law, aimed at curbing counterfeit goods. He asserted that this law has created more employment opportunities for youth in the state.

Significant Initiatives in State Development

Dhami also discussed religious and tourism-related improvements in Uttarakhand. He stated that tourist numbers are constantly rising, and the state is being developed as a prominent religious tourism destination. He touched upon the renovation work at Baba Kedarnath, the planned corridor on the banks of the Ganges in Haridwar, and the ongoing efforts to enhance the Maa Purnagiri temple.

Boosting Women's Economy

The Chief Minister informed that rural women in the state are creating various brands, and a special initiative, "House of Himalayas, Uttarakhand," is being undertaken to boost their economy. He mentioned that one lakh women have achieved lakhpati (a lakh being 100,000) status.

Celebrating Uttarakhand's Culture

From the Uttarayani Mela stage, the Chief Minister, calling himself a servant of Uttarakhand, extended greetings to everyone for the Uttarayani festival and Makar Sankranti. He expressed happiness upon seeing women in traditional Uttarakhand attire at the mela, feeling as if he were not in Bareilly but in Uttarakhand itself.

Opportunities for Growth

The Chief Minister emphasized that such melas preserve our cultural heritage and provide a platform for artists to showcase their talents. These events play a crucial role in passing on folk songs, dances, and mythological traditions to future generations.
