Agra has been witnessing changing weather conditions, with cloud cover persisting across the city since Monday morning. The cloudy conditions have reduced the intensity of sunlight and provided respite from intense heat, while the Meteorological Department has forecast the possibility of thunderstorms and rain later in the day.

The city recorded a temperature of around 33.6 degrees Celsius during the morning hours. Dense cloud cover kept sunlight relatively subdued, resulting in a slight cooling effect. However, humid conditions continued to cause some discomfort. Meteorologists said fluctuations between daytime and nighttime temperatures may be observed due to the changing weather pattern.

According to the Meteorological Department, b winds may develop after noon, with light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning likely in several areas. Some locations may also experience storm activity. Residents have been advised to avoid open spaces, trees and electric poles during adverse weather conditions

Agra has experienced persistent heat and humidity in recent days, with temperatures approaching 40 degrees Celsius on several occasions, affecting daily life. However, weather conditions are now changing as western disturbances and pre-monsoon activity become active. As a result, cloud formation has increased and the likelihood of rainfall has risen.

Weather experts said similar conditions may continue in Agra and surrounding areas until June 18. Periods of intense sunshine could alternate with cloud cover and rainfall. Temperature fluctuations are also expected during this period. Farmers and travellers have been advised to monitor the latest weather updates.

In view of the possibility of rainfall, the municipal corporation and local administration have intensified preparedness measures. Necessary arrangements are being made to address potential waterlogging in low-lying areas. Residents are also remaining alert to sudden changes in weather conditions.

The recent shift in weather is expected to provide relief from the heat. Temperatures may remain comparatively lower during morning and evening hours. Experts said pre-monsoon activity could become more active in the coming days.

Cloud movement continues over Agra, and residents are awaiting the possibility of rainfall later in the day. If rain occurs, temperatures may decline further, bringing additional relief from the prevailing heat.
