Following the success of the 2024 release ‘Pushpa 2’, actor Allu Arjun is set to headline a megabudget film directed by Atlee and produced by Sun Pictures. The project is currently in development in India and is reported to carry a budget exceeding ₹800 crore.
According to information associated with the production, Allu Arjun has opted not to take a fixed remuneration for the film. Instead, he has entered into a percentage-based agreement under which his compensation will be linked directly to the film’s overall business. The arrangement reportedly provides the actor with approximately 27–30 per cent of the total business, covering both theatrical and non-theatrical rights.
The film will feature Deepika Padukone opposite Allu Arjun. Reports have also indicated the possible involvement of Janhvi Kapoor, Mrunal Thakur and Rashmika Mandanna, though no official confirmation regarding these additional cast members has been issued.

With a reported budget of over ₹800 crore, the Atlee-directed project ranks among the most expensive Indian films to date. The percentage-based remuneration model mirrors the structure used for ‘Pushpa 2’.
Released in 2024, ‘Pushpa 2’ recorded a reported worldwide gross of approximately ₹1,871 crore against an estimated budget of about ₹500 crore. Under the percentage-based agreement for that film, Allu Arjun’s earnings were reported to be in the range of ₹270–300 crore. The same model is being applied to the upcoming Atlee project, with the stated objective of linking remuneration to business performance and sharing financial risk. The deal is being overseen by producer Bunny Vasu, who is associated with Allu Arjun.
