Bharatiya Janata Party leader Aparna Yadav criticised opposition parties in Lucknow, describing recent developments as a “staining night” and questioning their conduct, stating that their true face has now been exposed to the public.
In her statement, Yadav said the opposition engages in “performative politics” and confines its commitment to women’s respect to public platforms. She alleged that when real incidents emerge, the opposition’s actual stance becomes visible.
She further stated, “Nari Shakti is no longer weak; it is capable of responding to every injustice.” Following her remarks, party workers raised slogans and staged a protest.
During the demonstration, BJP workers in Lucknow burned flags of the Samajwadi Party and the Congress. Protesters said the opposition politicises women’s issues but does not undertake concrete work at the ground level.
Security arrangements were tightened during the protest, with police personnel deployed at the site to prevent any untoward incident. The demonstration concluded peacefully, with no reports of major disturbances.
