BCCI Forges Multi-Crore Partnership with Asian Paints, Bolstering Revenue After Landmark Apollo Tyres Deal

BCCI, considered the world's richest cricket board, earns millions annually from sponsorships. Recently, the board signed a major jersey sponsorship deal with Apollo Tyres, which significantly boosted its revenue.

Sports News: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is once again in the limelight, thanks to its new lucrative sponsorship deal, which has added millions of rupees to the board's earnings. Indian cricket is one of the most-watched and followed sports globally, enabling the BCCI to generate billions annually through sponsorships. Now, by making Asian Paints its new official partner, the board has taken its revenue to new heights.

Asian Paints Becomes BCCI's New Partner

Recently, the BCCI had signed a multi-million deal for jersey sponsorship with Apollo Tyres. Before the market buzz could subside, the BCCI made another major announcement—Asian Paints has now become the board's new official partner. This deal is considered a multi-crore contract, adding another b name to the BCCI's commercial portfolio.

Asian Paints has now been included in the list of select top-tier sponsors, which already features prominent companies like Campa, Atomberg, and SBI Life.

Official Announcement on November 25

The official announcement of this new partnership between BCCI and Asian Paints will be made on November 25 at 11 AM. Although the exact contract amount has not yet been made public, it is clear that this deal is also worth millions of rupees, similar to BCCI's other high-value sponsorship contracts. According to reports:

  • BCCI receives 48 crore rupees from Campa
  • 41 crore rupees from Atomberg
  • 47 crore rupees from SBI Life

With the addition of Asian Paints, BCCI's total earnings from official partnerships have now reached approximately 180 crore rupees. This figure is proof that the brand value of Indian cricket is continuously growing.

INR 579 Crore Jersey Sponsorship Deal with Apollo Tyres

Prior to this new deal, the BCCI had recently signed another major sponsorship contract—a three-year jersey sponsorship agreement with Apollo Tyres. After Dream11 withdrew, the Indian team played in the Asia Cup without a jersey sponsor. This situation did not last long, as the BCCI finalized a record-breaking deal worth 579 crore rupees with Apollo Tyres by the end of September. This agreement is for three years, under which Apollo Tyres is displaying its logo on Team India's jersey.

Apollo Tyres began appearing as the official jersey sponsor from the Test series against West Indies. Now, with the inclusion of Asian Paints, BCCI's sponsorship strategy has been further strengthened.
