Bihar Assembly Adjourned Amidst Opposition Protests on Final Day of Monsoon Session

The Bihar Assembly's proceedings were disrupted due to opposition protests on the last day of the monsoon session. The session, which lasted only 6 minutes, was adjourned until 2 PM.

Bihar Assembly Session: The final day of the Bihar Assembly's monsoon session was marked by uproar and disruptions, similar to the previous four days. The atmosphere in the House remained tense. Speaker Nand Kishore Yadav adjourned the proceedings until 2 PM just six minutes after the session began. This time, both the opposition and the ruling party were seen confronting each other.

Opposition Arrived in Black Clothes, Raised Slogans in the Well

Members of the opposition parties arrived at the Assembly wearing black clothes. As soon as the session started, opposition legislators entered the well of the House and began chanting slogans against the government. Their main slogans were "Vote theft will not be tolerated" and "State government, come to your senses." This demonstration was related to the recent political events and allegations.

Ruling Party Retaliated

The ruling party members reacted bly to the opposition's actions. They accused the opposition of irresponsible behavior by disrupting House proceedings on serious issues like teacher recruitment. The ruling party insisted that the government was ready for dialogue, but the opposition was merely staging a drama.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar Expressed Displeasure

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and both of his Deputy CMs were present in the House. Expressing his displeasure at the opposition's behavior, he said that everything is chaotic. From the Assembly to the Council, there is only a round of nonsensical talk. The Chief Minister also said that when there is a need to listen to something seriously, the opposition does not want to listen.

Chairman's Appeal Remained Ineffective, Protest Continued

Legislative Council Chairman Awadhesh Narayan Singh repeatedly appealed to the opposition members to calm down so that the proceedings of the House could run smoothly. He said, "If you keep shouting like this, you will have to keep doing it even after the elections." However, the opposition members remained firm in their place and continued chanting slogans. Seeing the situation deteriorating, the Chairman adjourned the House until 2 PM after only 11 minutes of proceedings.

Proceedings Disrupted for the Fourth Consecutive Day in the Monsoon Session

This was the last day of the monsoon session, and like the past four days, no concrete work could be done. Every day, after a few minutes of proceedings, the session had to be adjourned due to opposition uproar. This clearly indicates a lack of communication between the government and the opposition, and meaningful debate and discussion on issues of public interest are not taking place in an institution like the Assembly.
