Patna: The Bihar Education Department has issued strict directives to all districts, mandating the presence of at least three teachers in primary schools and five teachers in middle schools without fail. The department has clarified that any negligence in school operations will not be tolerated. The objective of this move is to ensure the quality of education for students and to make the regular attendance of teachers effective.

Detailed guidelines have been provided in several past video conferencing sessions, but reviews have revealed that some districts have not adhered to these instructions with due seriousness. The department has now decided to take strict action in this regard, and all districts have been ordered to comply with it with utmost seriousness.

Teacher Presence in Schools is Mandatory

As per the order, the presence of the required number of teachers in primary and middle schools must be ensured. Additionally, the department has directed the immediate completion of LPC In/Out for all transferred teachers.

Furthermore, the updated salary payment for selected school teachers under TRE-1, 2, 3, competency exam qualified specific teachers, headteachers, and chief teachers will also be ensured. This step is extremely important for safeguarding the rights of teachers and maintaining the quality of education for students.

Strict Action Against School Rule Violators

As per departmental letter number 10/Go, dated 20.02.2025, regular inspection of schools is mandatory. Strict action will be taken against headteachers who do not receive calls or fail to upload photographs during monitoring conducted by the Command and Control Center.

Strict rules in this direction will increase discipline in the education system and ensure accountability among teachers and headteachers.

Resolution of Teacher Grievances Soon

An order has also been issued for the prompt disposal of complaint letters filed by teachers on the e-ShikshaKosh portal. Emphasis has been placed on resolving pending cases as quickly as possible.

This will lead to a swift resolution of teachers' problems and will not cause any hindrance in the operational activities of schools. It will also play a significant role in the benefit of students.

Regular Monitoring and Inspection of Schools

Districts have been instructed to conduct daily reviews at their level. Along with this, special reviews will be organized twice a week at the headquarters level – on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Such continuous review and monitoring will curb negligence within the department and ensure complete transparency in school operations.
