New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a significant message regarding India's economic strength and global standing at the 'NDTV World Summit 2025', held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. He declared that India has now become invincible, and its economy has entered the world's top five. PM Modi also criticized Pakistan concerning terrorism.
He emphasized that at a time when the world is facing various challenges and stalemates, it is natural to speak of an "invincible India." He stated, "We will neither stop nor slow down; 140 crore Indians will move forward together at full speed."
India's Economic Progress and Global Standing
Prime Minister Modi highlighted the strength of India's economy and its global relevance. He informed that India's inflation rate is less than 2%, while the economic growth rate exceeds 7%. He lauded tech giant Google's announcement of a $15 billion investment in the AI sector and a 60% increase in trade with G7 countries. PM Modi stated,
Today, India is self-reliant in every sector—from chips to ships, we are full of confidence. India's growth is shaping global opportunities. The Prime Minister also reminded that despite the COVID-19 pandemic and global conflicts, India has maintained consistent economic growth. In the last three years, India's average economic growth rate has been 7.8%, and the recent figures of 7% merchandise export growth are proof of this.
Self-Reliant India Will Not Remain Silent Anymore
PM Modi stated that the era of "silent India" has ended. He clarified that India maintains a strict approach towards its security and is capable of taking b action against terrorism. The Prime Minister mentioned Operation Sindoor (May 7, 2025). In this operation, the Indian Army targeted terrorist bholds in Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (POK) and Pakistan's Punjab province. The objective of the operation was to dismantle the networks of terrorist organizations such as Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed, and Hizbul Mujahideen.
The Indian Air Force, Navy, and Army jointly carried out this operation. Through precision missiles and armed action, several terrorist bases were destroyed, and over 100 terrorists were eliminated. The Prime Minister stated that this step symbolizes India's security and self-reliance.
Targeting Pakistan and Terrorism
PM Modi also responded to terrorism and the challenge to India's security posed by neighboring countries. He affirmed that India has now become an invincible power. The Prime Minister further emphasized that India will continue to take strict measures against terrorism and will not tolerate any threats. He declared, "India will not remain silent anymore. We will deliver a b response against terrorism through actions like surgical strikes, air strikes, and Operation Sindoor."
