Bihar Vidhan Parishad Bharti 2025: The application process for the recruitment of Driver and Officer Attendant posts by the Bihar Legislative Council Secretariat is set to begin from September 29, 2025. A total of 24 posts will be filled through this recruitment drive. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online until 11:59 PM on October 20, 2025.

The minimum age for candidates applying for these posts has been set at 18 years, and candidates must meet the prescribed qualifications and eligibility criteria by the application deadline.

Recruitment Posts and Salary

Under this recruitment in the Bihar Legislative Council, there are two types of posts—Driver and Officer Attendant. The pay scale for both posts is different.

  • Driver: Rs. 19,900 to Rs. 63,200 per month
  • Officer Attendant: Rs. 18,000 to Rs. 56,900 per month

This salary is as per the pay scale determined by the state government and may include other allowances.

Eligibility for Application

To apply for the posts of Driver and Officer Attendant, candidates must possess certain essential qualifications and skills.

  • The candidate must have passed Class 10th or an equivalent class from a recognized institution in India.
  • The candidate should have working knowledge of both Hindi and English languages.

The minimum age for all candidates is set at 18 years.

Selection Process

Candidates will be selected based on a written examination and a driving skills & trade test.

Written Examination

In the written examination, candidates will be asked questions from the following subjects:

  • General Mathematics
  • General Knowledge
  • Science
  • Hindi

The examination will consist of a total of 100 questions. For each correct answer, the candidate will be awarded 4 marks, and 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer. This system is designed to assess candidates' knowledge and understanding.

Driving Skills and Trade Test

For the Driver post, candidates' driving skills and ability to ride a bicycle will be assessed.
For the Officer Attendant post, candidates' trade and office-related skills will be evaluated.

Thus, the selection process will be entirely based on candidates' qualifications and skills.

Application Fee

To apply for the posts of Driver and Officer Attendant, candidates must submit an examination fee of Rs. 100. This fee can be submitted online.
