Bihar Mahagathbandhan to Unveil Election Manifesto on Oct 28: Jobs, Women's Scheme, Reservation Hike Key Promises

Bihar's Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance) will release its election manifesto in Patna on October 28. Tejashwi Yadav will present it. The manifesto will include promises such as one government job per family, the Mai-Bahin Yojana, and increasing reservation limits.

Patna: Leaders of the constituent parties of the Mahagathbandhan in Bihar have finalized the date for their election manifesto. The alliance will release its election manifesto in Patna on October 28 (Tuesday). On this occasion, RJD leader and Mahagathbandhan's Chief Ministerial candidate, Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, will present the manifesto in the presence of leaders from the constituent parties.

Promise of one government job for a member from every family

In the Mahagathbandhan's election manifesto, the promise to provide a government job to one member from every family in the state has been given the highest priority. This promise is seen as the biggest step towards providing employment to the youth. Tejashwi Yadav has repeatedly stated in his speeches that eliminating unemployment will be his top priority.

Mai-Bahin Yojana for women

The manifesto includes the Mai-Bahin Yojana for women. Under this scheme, women have been promised two and a half thousand rupees every month. Additionally, there will be an announcement to provide a two thousand rupee allowance to Jeevika Didis and to make the services of Community Coordinators permanent. This scheme is being described as an important step towards strengthening the economic condition of women and making them self-dependent.

Promise to increase reservation limits

The Mahagathbandhan is also going to include the promise to increase the limit of reservation in its manifesto. Alliance leaders state that it is essential to expand the scope of reservation to ensure social justice and equal opportunities. This issue is being presented as being in the interest of the backward, extremely backward, and Dalit communities of the state.

Joint rallies by Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav

After the manifesto is released, Mahagathbandhan leaders Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav will hold joint rallies in Bihar. Both leaders will address public meetings in various districts of the state before the first phase of voting. Subsequently, they will also address joint rallies in constituencies going to polls in the second phase. Congress leaders state that the duo of Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav will send a b message of opposition unity.

Priyanka Gandhi and Kharge also to join

After Chhath Puja, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and party president Mallikarjun Kharge will also join the Bihar election campaign. They will begin their campaign on October 28 itself. The Congress believes that their arrival will boost the morale of party workers and strengthen the alliance's position.

Tejashwi Yadav named Mahagathbandhan's CM face

The Mahagathbandhan on Thursday declared RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav as its Chief Ministerial candidate. This decision has put an end to the internal conflict within the alliance, and all constituent parties will now unitedly enter the election fray.

Ashok Gehlot made the announcement

Congress leader Ashok Gehlot announced Tejashwi Yadav's designation as the CM face. Gehlot was present in Patna to mediate between alliance partners and resolve differences with the RJD. He stated that this decision was unanimously approved by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and senior leader Rahul Gandhi.
