The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) claims to have killed 29 Pakistani soldiers in two separate IED attacks in Quetta and Kalat. The organization states that this struggle will continue until the liberation of Balochistan.
Baloch Liberation Army: The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed responsibility for the killing of a total of 29 Pakistani military personnel in two separate attacks in Quetta and Kalat, Pakistan. According to the organization, these attacks were carried out by their special unit, the 'Fateh Squad,' based on intelligence provided by the intelligence unit ZIRAR. The BLA has made it clear that the Pakistani army will have to pay a heavy price until Balochistan achieves independence.
IED attack on a bus carrying soldiers in Quetta
The Baloch Liberation Army reported that its special unit, the 'Fateh Squad,' carried out an IED (Improvised Explosive Device) attack in Quetta city, Pakistan. The attack targeted a military bus carrying Pakistani soldiers. This bus was traveling from Karachi to Quetta and had been under surveillance by the BLA's intelligence unit ZIRAR for quite some time.
During the attack, 27 Pakistani soldiers on board the bus were killed on the spot. Several other soldiers were seriously injured. According to the BLA, this operation was fully planned and successfully executed.
Qawwali artists were present on the bus, BLA caused no harm
Some Qawwali singers and artists were also traveling on this military bus. The BLA clarified in a statement that these artists were not their targets and were not harmed. The organization stated that their aim was only to target military personnel; civilians or non-military individuals were not included in their targets.
Second attack in Kalat district, targeting a military vehicle
Apart from Quetta, the BLA also carried out another IED attack in the Hazar Ganji area of Kalat district. This attack targeted a Pakistani military vehicle. In this attack, two more soldiers were killed, bringing the total number of deaths in both attacks to 29.
According to the BLA, infrastructure associated with the Pakistani army was also damaged in this attack. The Kalat operation is seen as a precise planning and effective action by Baloch fighters.
Role of ZIRAR: Advantage gained through intelligence
The BLA's intelligence unit, ZIRAR, played a significant role in carrying out these attacks. The organization claims that ZIRAR continuously monitored the bus carrying Pakistani soldiers. The unit not only kept an eye on their movements but also identified the right time and place to prepare the Fateh Squad for the operation.
