A black cobra found on the commode in a bathroom in Pratap Nagar, Ajmer, caused a stir. Snake friend Sukhdev Bhatt safely rescued the snake and released it into the jungle. No one was injured.
Ajmer: A unique and dangerous incident has come to light in Ajmer district, Rajasthan. When a person went to use the bathroom in his two-story house, he was stunned upon opening the door. A black cobra snake was coiled around the commode. This snake is so dangerous that a bite can be life-threatening. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.
Black Cobra Spotted in Bathroom
A black cobra suddenly appeared in the bathroom of a house located in Ajmer's Pratap Nagar area. As soon as the homeowner opened the door, their breath caught at the sight of the snake. They immediately rushed to inform the rescue team.
Snake friend Sukhdev Bhatt, who arrived at the scene, swiftly caught the cobra and safely released it into the jungle. Bhatt stated that no one was harmed in the entire incident, and the danger was averted due to timely information.
The Danger of Cobra Snakes and Neurotoxin Venom
According to snake friend Sukhdev Bhatt, black cobra snakes possess neurotoxin venom. If it bites a human, muscle function can cease, and breathing difficulties may occur. Without timely treatment, it can be fatal.
Bhatt explained that cobras can raise about one-third of their body off the ground. They exhibit this behavior to intimidate their prey before attacking. Such incidents increase during the monsoon season as snakes enter homes due to rainwater and seek out damp areas.
Rescue Team Advises on Safety and Prevention
Sukhdev Bhatt appealed to homeowners and the general public not to panic if a snake is spotted in the house. Immediately inform the relevant snake friends or wildlife rescue team. Attempting to catch a snake incorrectly can lead to a serious accident.
Bhatt mentioned that it is unclear how the cobra reached the second floor in this case. Experts believe that snakes can reach upper parts of a house through small holes, pipelines, or staircases. Therefore, special attention should be paid to damp areas of the house during the monsoon season.
