Eligibility and Educational Criteria
To apply for the LDC posts, candidates must have passed the Intermediate (12th) examination from a recognized institution. In addition, the candidate must have basic knowledge of computer operation. This qualification is considered essential for efficiency in work.
Age Limit and Relaxation
The minimum age for candidates applying for this post is set at 18 years and the maximum age is 37 years.
Age relaxation will be given to candidates belonging to special categories as per the rules:
- Maximum age relaxation of 5 years for Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates.

- For Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates, all permanent female residents, and differently-abled candidates of Bihar state: ₹150

Selection Process
BPSC will conduct the selection process for LDC posts in two stages:
Preliminary Examination (Prelims):
The preliminary examination will consist of multiple-choice questions. The subjects will be:
- General Studies
- Science and Mathematics
- Mental Aptitude Test
The exam will be of 2 hours and 15 minutes duration. Four marks will be awarded for each correct answer, while one mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer (negative marking). Candidates who qualify in the preliminary examination will get an opportunity to appear for the main examination (Mains).
Main Examination (Mains):
