New Guidelines for 2026 Recruitment Examinations
The Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board has implemented new guidelines for recruitment examinations to be conducted in Delhi in 2026. The rules will apply to all candidates and will come into effect from the day of examination. The board stated that candidates must report at the time specified on the e-admit card and carry the e-admit card along with a valid identity proof. Strict measures have been introduced regarding dress code and prohibited items to ensure a transparent and fair examination process.
Entry Rules at Examination Centres
According to the Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board, every candidate must reach the examination centre at the reporting time mentioned in the e-admit card. No candidate will be allowed entry after the scheduled time under any circumstances.
The board has also clarified that no candidate will be permitted to leave the centre after the examination begins and before it concludes. Candidates must remain present in their allotted room for the entire duration of the examination.
Admit Card, Identity Proof and Examination Pattern
Entry to the examination centre will require the e-admit card and an original photo identity proof. Candidates will also be required to sign the photo attendance sheet and provide their thumb impression. Failure to complete this process will be the responsibility of the candidate.
The examination will be computer-based, and for certain posts a written examination may also be conducted. The question paper will be available in both Hindi and English. A negative marking of 0.25 marks will apply for each incorrect answer.
Dress Code and Prohibited Items
The Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board has issued specific instructions regarding dress code. Candidates must wear light-coloured half-sleeve clothing without large buttons or badges. Shoes will not be permitted, and candidates are advised to wear sandals or low-heeled slippers.
Mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, watches, calculators, bags, jewellery and food items will be completely prohibited inside the examination centre. The board has clarified that no arrangement for storage of belongings will be available at the centres.
