Learn Why Earthquakes Occur?

Earthquakes are the result of the movement of tectonic plates beneath the Earth's surface. The Earth's outer layer, known as the lithosphere, is divided into several large tectonic plates. These plates float on molten magma and move at a rate of a few centimeters each year.

When these plates collide, separate, or slide under each other, the accumulated stress between them is suddenly released as energy. This energy reaches the Earth's surface in the form of seismic waves, which we experience as earthquakes.
