Election Commission Rejects Rahul Gandhi's 'Vote Theft' Allegations, Cites Lack of Evidence

Rahul Gandhi Accuses Election Commission of Vote Theft to Benefit BJP; Election Commission Rejects Allegations as Baseless and Responds to Gandhi.

EC Vs Rahul Gandhi: Congress leader and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, recently made a very serious statement accusing the Election Commission of 'vote theft.' He claimed that, according to an independent investigation, the Election Commission is allegedly manipulating the voter list to benefit the ruling BJP. This statement has stirred up the political atmosphere, and now the Election Commission has reacted bly to it.

Election Commission Calls Rahul Gandhi's Allegations Baseless

The Election Commission of India (ECI) issued a statement on Friday completely rejecting the allegations made by Rahul Gandhi. The Commission said that it faces such baseless and irresponsible allegations daily, but despite this, all election officials are working fairly and transparently. The Commission reiterated that it completely ignores such statements.

Election Commission Responds to Rahul Gandhi with Facts

The Election Commission responded to Rahul Gandhi's allegations with a series of five points:

  • Email Sent on June 12: The Commission stated that Rahul Gandhi was emailed on June 12, 2025, to provide information on this matter, but he did not respond.
  • No Response to Letter: A letter was also sent to him on the same day, but there was no reply to that either.
  • No Formal Letter Ever Sent: The Commission claims that neither Rahul Gandhi nor the Congress Party has sent any formal complaint or letter to the Election Commission on this subject.
  • Threatening is Reprehensible: Expressing displeasure at Rahul's statement, the Commission said that he is now publicly threatening the Commission and its officials, which is completely reprehensible.
  • Appeal for Impartiality from Employees: The Election Commission has asked all its officers and employees to continue their work with fairness and transparency without any pressure.

Rahul Gandhi's Statement

Speaking to the media outside the Parliament House, Rahul Gandhi said,

"We have clear evidence that the Election Commission is involved in vote theft. We will not spare anyone involved in this process. This is treason. Wherever you are, we will find you, even if you have retired."

Although he did not mention any officer or name specifically, his warning is considered to be directly targeted at the top of the Election Commission.
