Gehlot Accuses BJP of Conspiracy to Oust Chief Minister Sharma

Former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has alleged a conspiracy to remove Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma from office in Rajasthan. He criticized the BJP for its stance on emergency and communal politics, sparking significant political activity.

Rajasthan News: Rajasthan’s former Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Ashok Gehlot has made a significant claim regarding the current Chief Minister, Bhajan Lal Sharma. He stated that a conspiracy is underway to remove Bhajan Lal Sharma from the position of Chief Minister, and this plot extends beyond Rajasthan, reaching as far as Delhi. Gehlot’s statement has caused considerable upheaval in the state’s political landscape.

Warning to Bhajan Lal Sharma

During a visit to Jodhpur, Ashok Gehlot, while speaking to the media, stated that Bhajan Lal Sharma doesn’t seem to grasp the plans being formulated against him. He clarified that they are not levelling any accusations, but are cautioning him that if he doesn’t exercise caution, he may face consequences. Gehlot emphasized that the appointment of a new MLA as Chief Minister for the first time is a significant event that needs to be handled carefully. He argued that frequent changes in the Chief Minister’s position do not foster a positive image for the government or promote state development.

Questions Raised on BJP’s Celebration of Emergency

Ashok Gehlot also raised questions regarding the BJP’s celebrations commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Emergency. He asserted that the BJP is attempting to utilize the Emergency as a political tool, while the issue is now long-standing and well-understood by the public.

Gehlot stated that the Congress has borne the consequences of the 1975 Emergency, but following that, Indira Gandhi returned to power with a resounding majority. He added that he himself had served as a Member of Parliament during that time.

Public Now Understands

Gehlot emphatically stated that the public now understands that the BJP is merely attempting to divert attention by raising issues. He argued that repeatedly bringing up events from 50 years ago in today’s context is purely for political gain. The BJP’s efforts will not succeed, as the public is now aware.

Allegations of Hindu-Muslim Politics

Ashok Gehlot also accused the BJP of engaging in Hindu-Muslim politics. He stated that the Congress has never practiced politics based on religion and has never supported violence. Gehlot asserted that the BJP is deliberately highlighting communal issues to gain electoral advantage, while the country needs to focus on pressing issues such as employment, inflation, and education.

Gehlot Visits Jodhpur on Three-Day Tour

Ashok Gehlot is currently on a three-day visit to his hometown, Jodhpur. During this time, he met with the general public at the Circuit House and listened to their concerns. In conversations with the media, he leveled serious accusations against the BJP and expressed concern about the current state of the state.
