Khalistani terrorist Happy Pasia, who carried out over 14 terror attacks in Punjab, is being extradited to India from the US. Pasia was wanted by the NIA and Punjab Police for a long time.
Punjab: Notorious Khalistani terrorist and gangster Happy Pasia is being extradited to India from the United States. The terrorist was arrested in April 2025 from Sacramento, California. He was taken into custody by the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency and will soon be brought to India via Delhi Airport.
Responsible for continuous terror attacks in Punjab
According to the NIA, Happy Pasia is responsible for carrying out more than 14 terrorist incidents in Punjab. He orchestrated grenade attacks targeting Punjab Police and security establishments during 2024 and 2025. The NIA had announced a reward of ₹5 lakh for this dangerous terrorist.
Contact with Pakistan ISI and Khalistani organizations
According to sources, Happy Pasia was in direct contact with top officials of Pakistan's intelligence agency ISI. He was also involved in trying to spread terror in Punjab in collaboration with Khalistani organizations like Babbar Khalsa International and terrorist Rinda. His aim was to create unrest in the state and revive terrorism.
List of serial blasts
Happy Pasia and his associates carried out a series of grenade blasts in various parts of Punjab. These include prominent incidents:
November 24, 2024: RDX was planted outside Ajnala police station, Amritsar, but did not explode. Pasia claimed responsibility.
November 27: Grenade attack on Gurbaksh Nagar police post.
December 2: Grenade blast at Kathgarh police station in SBS Nagar. Three terrorists arrested.
December 4: Police said the blast at Majitha police station was a tire burst, but the local MLA called it a terrorist attack.
December 13: Aliwal Batala police station, grenade blast at night. Responsibility claimed by Happy Pasia and his associate.
December 17: Islamabad police station, Amritsar, grenade blast. DGP considered it a terrorist attack.
January 19: Gumtala post, Amritsar, blast. Responsibility claimed by Babbar Khalsa International.
January 16: Grenade attack on the house of a liquor businessman in Jaintipur village, Amritsar.
February 3: Low-intensity blast at a police post in Amritsar.
February 14: Blast targeting the house of a policeman in Dera Baba Nanak, Gurdaspur.
March 15: Attack on Thakur Dwara Temple, Amritsar. One accused, Gursidak Singh, was killed in an encounter.
Disclosure of conspiracy and action by security agencies
Before his arrest in the US, Happy Pasia was planning to spread terror through online means while in India. He used to take responsibility for grenade attacks on social media and post videos. Punjab Police and central agencies coordinated with US agencies and tracked and caught him.
Deep infiltration into the intelligence network
Happy Pasia was not only involved in terrorist activities, but he had also created a b terrorist network. Police investigations revealed that he incited the youth of Punjab to join him, providing them with weapons and money for terrorist acts. Several local youths were involved in this network, some of whom have been arrested.
