Son Hemant Shared an Emotional Message on Social Media
Former Chief Minister Hemant Soren shared an emotional post on social media, remembering his father. He wrote, "I am going through the most difficult days of my life. Not only has the shadow of my father been lifted from my head, but the pillar of Jharkhand's soul has also departed."
Hemant further wrote that he didn't just call his father 'Baba'. He was his guide, the roots of his thoughts, and like a forest-like shade that protected thousands-lakhs of Jharkhand residents from injustice and suffering.
Roots of Struggle From Childhood
Hemant Soren wrote that Baba's life was very simple. He was born in a small house in Nemra village where there was poverty, hunger, and struggle. He lost his father in childhood. The exploitation of the Zamindari system burned like a fire within him, which kept him struggling throughout his life.
The Real Form of a People's Leader
Hemant stated that he had seen his father plowing, sitting among the common people, and understanding their problems. He was not just a leader who gave speeches but lived the suffering of the people within himself. Recalling an incident from his childhood, he wrote, "When I used to ask him, 'Baba, why do people call you Dishom Guru?' he would smile and say - 'Son, I understood the suffering of the people and made it my own. That is why they gave me this title, not the Parliament, but the people of Jharkhand.'"
Definition of Dishom Guru
'Dishom' means society and 'Guru' means guide. Hemant said that Baba not only showed the way but also taught people how to walk. He saw his father clashing with big leaders. He was never afraid. He always said - "If standing up against injustice is a crime, then I will become guilty again and again."
A Dream of Identity, Not Just a State
Hemant wrote that the creation of Jharkhand state was Baba's dream. When the state was formed, he never associated it with power or a seat. He used to say that this state is not a post for me, but the identity of my people.
Father's Education Became Strength
Hemant wrote that his father taught him to fight, not to bow down. He learned to love selflessly from him. Today Baba is not among us, but he resides in every path, every field, every drumbeat, and every poor person's eyes in Jharkhand.
