India's b presence, particularly in the batting department, captured everyone's attention. In this latest ranking, young batsman Tilak Varma made a significant leap, securing third place.
Furthermore, three Indian batsmen managed to secure places in the top 6. Indian players also made a b showing in the bowling and all-rounder rankings.
Tilak Varma's Ranking Surge to Third Place
Young Indian cricket star Tilak Varma has delivered a b performance in the T20 rankings, climbing one position to reach the third spot with 804 rating points. His crucial half-century of 72 runs against England in the recent series significantly boosted his ranking. Consistent stellar performances have established Tilak as a prominent batsman in the eyes of the ICC.
Abhishek Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav's Continued Brilliance
Besides Tilak, Team India's explosive opener Abhishek Sharma maintained his b hold, securing second place with 829 points. A century and a half-century in the five T20 matches against England solidified his ranking. His whirlwind score of 135 runs was particularly instrumental in this jump.
Meanwhile, India's experienced T20 captain Suryakumar Yadav also remains in the top 6, holding the sixth position with 739 rating points. Thus, three Indian batsmen currently feature in the top 6 of the world T20 batting rankings. Besides India, England's Phil Salt and Jos Buttler are placed fourth and fifth, respectively. Australia's Travis Head currently tops the T20 batting rankings with 856 rating points.
India's Strong Grip on Bowling Rankings
Indian players continue to make their impact felt in the T20 bowling rankings. Varun Chakravarthy, whose performance has been consistently impressive, occupies third place with 706 points. New Zealand's fast bowler Jacob Duffy (723 points) is at the top. India's Ravi Bishnoi is seventh (674 points), while fast bowler Arshdeep Singh has also entered the top 10, securing tenth position.
In the all-rounder rankings, India's Hardik Pandya, with a stellar performance, has captured the number 1 spot with 252 rating points. This reflects his consistently excellent performance. Pandya is the only Indian player in the top 10. Axar Patel follows him in 12th position.
