During this period, cloudy skies, thunderstorms, and light to moderate rain with b winds are expected in Delhi. The maximum temperature on June 23rd is expected to be 36°C and the minimum 28°C. Strong winds of 30-40 km/h are also possible.
The monsoon is expected to be fully active in Delhi after June 25th. According to the IMD, pleasant weather will prevail until June 29th, providing relief from humidity and heat.
Monsoon Arrives in Himachal Pradesh; Orange Alert Issued
The monsoon has reached most parts of Himachal Pradesh. The state's local meteorological center has warned of heavy to very heavy rainfall between June 23rd and 27th. Light to moderate rain is expected across the state from June 24th to 28th. An orange alert is in effect for the next four days, starting June 24th, particularly in the upper and middle hill regions. Tourists are advised to exercise caution.
Monsoon Active in Rajasthan
Following the monsoon's arrival in eastern Rajasthan, heavy rainfall is expected in Kota, Jaipur, and Bharatpur divisions. Heavy/very heavy rainfall is likely in these areas on June 24th. In western Rajasthan's Bikaner division, an increase in dust storms and rainfall activity is anticipated between June 25th and 27th. The state's meteorological center has warned of potential waterlogging in fields and the risk of lightning strikes.
Monsoon's Fury in Gujarat
Heavy rainfall has been reported in 159 talukas of Gujarat. The intense monsoon rains have caused waterlogging and traffic disruptions in several districts. The IMD has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall in 16 districts of Saurashtra and South Gujarat on June 24th.
