India Women Defeat West Indies Women by 26 Runs in ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026 Warm-Up Match

India Women oph a 26-run win over West Indies Women at Sophia Gardens, Cardiff. Bharti Fulmali scored an unbeaten 56, while Shreyanka Patil and Radha Yadav shared seven wickets as West Indies finished on 153 for 8 in pursuit of 180.

India Women began their ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026 warm-up campaign with a 26-run victory over West Indies Women at Sophia Gardens in Cardiff. Batting first, India posted 179 for 8 before restricting West Indies to 153 for 8 in reply.

India made an aggressive start through opening batters Shafali Verma and Smriti Mandhana, who capitalised on the powerplay and took the team score past 50 by the fifth over. Mandhana scored 39 off 23 balls, including eight fours, before being dismissed in the sixth over. Shafali followed soon after for 29, while Jemimah Rodrigues was dismissed for 7.

In the middle order, Bharti Fulmali and Yastika Bhatia steadied the innings with a 61-run partnership for the fourth wicket from 44 balls. Yastika scored 36 from 36 deliveries, while Bharti remained unbeaten on 56 from 40 balls. Her knock played a key role in helping India reach a competitive total of 179 for 8.

For West Indies, Afy Fletcher was the most successful bowler with figures of 4 for 23. The team used a total of nine bowlers, but India continued to score at regular intervals throughout the innings.

Chasing a target of 180, West Indies made a balanced start through Deandra Dottin and Shemaine Campbelle, who added 63 runs for the first wicket. Campbelle retired out on 25, while Dottin scored 49 from 44 balls. However, no other batter was able to build a substantial partnership against the Indian bowling attack.

India's spin bowlers turned the match in their favour. Shreyanka Patil claimed four wickets, while Radha Yadav took three wickets as West Indies were restricted to 153 for 8 in 20 overs.

India will next face England Women in their second warm-up match on 10 June.
