Indore Couple Case: Sonam Raghuvanshi, the wife accused of murdering Indore businessman Raja Raghuvanshi, was finally located after 17 days at a roadside eatery in Ghazipur. Around 1 a.m. on Sunday, Sonam arrived at "Kashi Chai Zayka," an eatery near Akushpur village in the Nandganj area on the Ghazipur-Varanasi highway. She appeared exhausted, frightened, and emotionally distressed.

Requested a Phone from the Eatery Owner

Saheel Yadav, the eatery owner, stated that Sonam arrived alone on foot and requested the use of his mobile phone. She called her brother, Govind Raghuvanshi, and wept uncontrollably during the conversation. After speaking with his sister, Govind understood her situation and immediately instructed the eatery owner to contact the police.

Police Took Sonam to the Hospital

Local police arrived at the scene and transported Sonam to Ghazipur's government medical college hospital. After receiving treatment for fever and headache, she was placed under the supervision of the women's police at the "One Stop Center." She remained there until her condition improved, with no one, including her brother, permitted to visit.

Sonam's Story: Unconscious After Husband's Murder in Meghalaya

In her conversation with the eatery owner, Sonam recounted that she married in May and went to Meghalaya with her husband, Raja Raghuvanshi, for their honeymoon. There, some miscreants attempted to rob them of their jewelry. When Raja intervened, they murdered him. Sonam stated she lost consciousness after witnessing the event and has no memory of how she reached Ghazipur.

Meghalaya Police Obtained Transit Remand from the Court

Around 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, Meghalaya police, including two female officers, arrived in Ghazipur. After a medical examination of Sonam, she was taken to the CJM court under heavy security around 9 p.m. Following the granting of transit remand, the Meghalaya police departed with Sonam for Shillong.

Did Sonam Reach Ghazipur Alone, or Was She Brought There?

The central question remains whether Sonam reached Ghazipur independently or was brought there by someone. The eatery owner reported that she was alone and extremely distressed, but the specifics of her journey remain unclear. Since the crime occurred in Meghalaya, local police are hesitant to comment further.
