Israel-Iran Conflict Escalates: Missile Strikes and UN Emergency Meeting Requested

Israel targeted Iranian nuclear sites; Iran retaliated with missile strikes on Tel Aviv. An emergency UN meeting has been requested as tensions escalate towards potential nuclear war.

Iran Israel Conflict: Tensions between Iran and Israel have reached a dangerously critical point. Israel's attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities and military installations have dramatically escalated tensions in West Asia. Iran has described this as an "attack on its sovereignty" and warned Israel of a "crushing response."

Iran's Strong Stance: Demand for Emergency UN Meeting

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that Israel has openly violated Iran's borders and sovereignty. He has written to the United Nations requesting an emergency meeting of the Security Council (UNSC). Araghchi said, “Israel has crossed all red lines. The international community must intervene now.”

Expectation of UN Action

Iran has made it clear that it expects the United Nations to condemn the actions and hold Israel accountable for the attacks. Iran's foreign ministry contends that Israel's aggressive stance threatens regional stability.

Netanyahu's Response: Attacks Will Continue

Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, maintaining his strategy, stated that his country will continue to take all necessary steps to prevent Iran's nuclear capabilities. He said that in the past 24 hours, the Israeli military has targeted key Iranian military bases, ballistic missile stockpiles, and senior scientists.

“There is more to come,” Netanyahu said in a b statement. “This is only the beginning. They (Iran) don't yet know what is coming next. We will not stop until Iran's nuclear capability is completely eliminated.” This statement clearly indicates Israel's readiness to escalate the conflict.

Iran's Counterattack: Missile Strike on Tel Aviv

Hours after Netanyahu's statement, Iran launched a retaliatory missile attack on Tel Aviv, Israel's capital, on Friday night. Reports indicate injuries and significant damage to several buildings. Iran carried out this action in line with warnings from Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Khamenei's Ultimatum

Iran's Supreme Leader Khamenei had previously warned that Israel would pay the price for every attack. He stated that the time has come for Iran's strategy to shift from retaliation to a proactive, aggressive stance.
