Petroleum companies in Jaipur have reduced the price of commercial LPG cylinders by Rs 51, providing relief to hotel and restaurant owners. There has been no change in the prices of domestic cylinders. This reduction is effective from September 1.
Jaipur: The beginning of September has brought good news for hotel and restaurant operators in Jaipur, Rajasthan. Petroleum companies HPCL, BPCL, and IOCL have announced a reduction of Rs 51 in the prices of commercial gas cylinders. A 19 kg commercial cylinder will now be available in Jaipur for Rs 1608.50, whereas earlier it was priced at Rs 1659.50. This reduction has been effective from September 1.
It is noteworthy that there has been no change in the prices of domestic LPG cylinders for now. Domestic cylinders are still available in Jaipur for Rs 856.50. Beneficiaries of BPL and Ujjwala schemes will continue to receive cylinders at subsidized rates from the state government, as before.
Seventh Reduction in Commercial Cylinder Prices
Petroleum companies have reduced the prices of commercial gas cylinders seven times so far in 2025. This has provided continuous relief to hotel and restaurant operators. The previous reductions are as follows:
- Relief of Rs 34 in August
- Reduction of Rs 58 in July
- Became Rs 24.50 cheaper in May
- Reduction of Rs 40.50 in April
- Reduction of Rs 14.50 in January
- Relief of Rs 6 in February
This latest reduction is directly beneficial for hotel-restaurant businesses. They will now be able to cook and provide services with lower expenses. This will also reduce their operational costs, and customers will be able to benefit from better services.
No Change in Domestic Cylinder Prices
While the prices of commercial gas cylinders have been reduced, the price of domestic cylinders remains stable. A 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder is still available in Jaipur for Rs 856.50. However, international prices of crude oil and gas have seen a decline. Despite this, there has been no change in the prices of domestic cylinders.
Any announcement of a reduction in domestic gas cylinder prices will be in line with the government's economic policy and inflation control measures. The general public is now looking towards the government for when relief will be provided in the prices of domestic cooking gas.
