Sanjay Singh, an MLC from the Janata Dal (United), stated that the Bharatiya Janata Party is in a b position ahead of the upcoming elections in West Bengal and Assam, asserting that the party is likely to secure victory in both states.
Singh said that the Bharatiya Janata Party is contesting from a b position in both West Bengal and Assam, with public support visibly in its favour. He added that the opposition lacks a concrete strategy to counter the party in these elections.
He also commented on Bihar politics, criticising Leader of the Opposition Tejashwi Yadav. Singh said that Yadav currently has no substantive issues to raise and is attempting to mislead the public. He alleged that the opposition is focused on accusations and counter-accusations rather than discussing development and policy matters.
According to Singh, voters are no longer influenced by emotional appeals and are prioritising development, security and stable governance. He stated that this shift has contributed to continued support for the Bharatiya Janata Party. He added that the impact of central government policies and schemes is visible at the ground level and is expected to benefit the party in elections.
Singh said that opposition parties are in a weak position and are facing challenges due to a lack of coordination among themselves. He also alleged that making promises during elections and failing to fulfil them later has been a recurring pattern among opposition parties, which voters now recognise.
He further claimed that the Bharatiya Janata Party will not only perform well in West Bengal and Assam but will also strengthen its position in other states. He said that public confidence in the Prime Minister’s leadership and the functioning of the government is increasing.
Following the statement, reactions have intensified in political circles, with indications that similar exchanges are likely to continue during the election period.
