The Jharkhand Home Guard Corps has released the notification for Home Guard Recruitment 2026. A total of 772 Home Guard posts will be filled through the recruitment process.
The online application process for these posts will begin on October 11, 2026. Eligible candidates can apply until October 26, 2026.
Candidates applying for the Home Guard posts must have passed Class 7 or Class 10 from a recognised institution.
The age limit will be calculated as of January 1, 2026. Candidates must be at least 19 years old and must not be more than 40 years old.
The selection process will be conducted in multiple stages. Candidates will first undergo a physical examination. Those who qualify will be called for the Hindi writing ability test.
The Hindi writing test will carry a total of 100 marks. Candidates must secure at least 30% marks to qualify in the examination. Candidates securing the prescribed minimum marks will be called for the technical proficiency test.
The recruitment process will therefore assess candidates on physical ability, Hindi writing ability and technical proficiency.
Candidates will have to pay the prescribed registration fee while completing the application process. The application fee has been fixed at ₹100 for candidates of all categories. The fee can be paid online during the application process.
Candidates applying for the Home Guard recruitment will have to visit the official Jharkhand recruitment website, recruitment.jharkhand.gov.in. On the homepage, candidates need to go to the online registration section and click on the relevant recruitment link.
Candidates will then have to enter the required personal and educational details. They can proceed with the application using their login details and pay the registration fee. After submitting the form, candidates can take a printout of the application for future reference.
The online application window will remain open from October 11 to October 26, 2026.
