Box Office: Rishab Shetty's new film 'Kantara Chapter 1' is gaining tremendous popularity among audiences. Released on October 2, this film continues to be in the limelight and is performing spectacularly at the box office. The film's earnings are reaching new heights every day, and its magic is being witnessed not only in India but also abroad. 'Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari', released alongside it, is also making its mark among viewers, and its journey is now slowly progressing.

'Kantara Chapter 1' Box Office Dominance

According to Sacnilk's report, 'Kantara Chapter 1' earned 9 crore rupees on its 15th day alone, bringing its total domestic box office collection to 485.40 crore rupees so far. Globally, its earnings for the first 14 days were 670 crore rupees, and with the figures for the 15th day, it has reached approximately 680 crore rupees.

Rishab Shetty's film started with a massive opening of 61.85 crore rupees. Such a large collection is considered very significant for any period drama film. In its very first week, the film earned tremendously across Hindi, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam languages. Notably, despite Kannada being the primary language, the film performed exceptionally well among Hindi-speaking audiences.

Performance Compared to 'Chhava'

This year, Vicky Kaushal's 'Chhava' had already proven to be a box office hit. However, looking at the 15-day figures, 'Kantara Chapter 1' has surpassed 'Chhava'. 'Chhava' earned a domestic total of 412.5 crore rupees in 15 days, whereas 'Kantara Chapter 1' earned 485.40 crore rupees in the same period.

In worldwide collections, 'Chhava' managed to earn 566.50 crore rupees in 15 days, while 'Kantara's' earnings have reached approximately 680 crore rupees.

Slow Earnings for 'Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari'

During this period, Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor's 'Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari' was not as impactful at the box office. This film presents a romantic-drama story of two couples. The narrative entertains audiences with Sanya and Varun's first relationship, Janhvi and Rohit's second pairing, and the obstacles faced in both couples' weddings.

However, its impact on box office figures remained limited. On its 15th day, the film earned only 0.90 lakh rupees, bringing its total domestic collection to 55.00 crore rupees so far. In worldwide earnings, the film has reached approximately 84.80 crore rupees. It is estimated that the total worldwide collection would be close to 85 crore rupees.
