Maharashtra: The Revenue Department of Maharashtra has mandated the use of a Face App and Geo-Fencing system for all its employees. Attendance will now only be recorded within the office premises. Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule himself issued the directive that employees who fail to register on the app will not receive their August salary. A Government Resolution regarding this will be issued soon.
Precise Monitoring of Office Attendance Now Possible
The government states that this new system is necessary to enhance transparency and accountability. It will clearly record whether employees are present in the office on time, preventing delays or negligence in providing timely services to the public.
Decision Made After Reviewing Work in Raigad
Minister Bawankule explained that this decision was made after reviewing the status of office work related to land and other matters in Raigad district. It was determined that the entire system would be technology-based and time-bound to ensure that government work is not pending for months and that officials resolve people's issues within a set timeframe.
Instructions to Resolve All Pending Cases in 150 Days
The state government has ordered that all old cases assigned to Tehsildars and officials handling land records must be resolved within 150 days. This will prevent citizens from having to make repeated trips to the office with their files and ensure that their problems are resolved in a timely manner.
Resolution of Public Grievances Now Through Lok Adalats
The state government now wants the problems of the common people to be resolved at the local level before they reach the secretariat. To facilitate this, Lok Adalats will be promoted. These help resolve cases through settlements without lengthy legal processes.
Digital Attendance Will Ensure Government Accountability
The Face App is a system that registers employee attendance by recognizing their face, while Geo-Fencing ensures that the employee is within the designated office premises. This eliminates the possibility of false attendance and maintains discipline in the office.
