Both leaders set a target of reaching bilateral trade of 20 billion US dollars in the next five years. Currently, this trade is around 10 billion dollars. India's Digital Weapon to be Used in Brazil
The biggest technological achievement of this visit was that Brazil agreed to adopt India's digital payment platform UPI (Unified Payments Interface). This will help Indian citizens easily make digital transactions in Brazil, and it will also become a cheap, fast, and secure payment option for the people of Brazil.
PM Modi called it a major step towards digital global unity. Along with this, he announced joint efforts in emerging fields such as agricultural research, Ayurveda, supercomputing, and AI.
India Becomes the Voice of the 'Global South'
During the BRICS summit, PM Modi raised the voice of the 'Global South', meaning the developing and emerging countries.
