The Oscars ceremony, previously held at the Dolby Theatre, will be आयोजित at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles Live starting in 2029. The change will continue until 2039 under a 10-year partnership with AEG. Under a separate rights agreement, the ceremony will also be live-streamed globally on YouTube through 2033. The new location does not include a shopping centre, allowing the venue to remain dedicated entirely to the ceremony.

The venue offers technical upgrades, improved audience facilities, and enhanced opportunities for modern live broadcasting. As part of the agreement with AEG, the L.A. Since 2002, the Oscars have been held at the Dolby Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard, formerly known as the Kodak Theatre. The venue is located next to the TCL Theatre, previously Grauman’s Chinese Theatre, and along the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The 3,400-seat theatre was designed specifically for large-scale broadcasts such as the Oscars.

Columns along the theatre’s exterior staircase display the names of past Best Picture winners. The location also offers a clear view of the Hollywood sign. The venue has hosted the ceremony for over two decades.

The Peacock Theatre is part of Los Angeles Live and is equipped with modern technical infrastructure. It has hosted the Emmy Awards since 2008, providing experience in live broadcast events. The new arrangement will focus on improving red carpet and ceremony logistics.

The venue’s layout, without a shopping centre or heavy road congestion, is expected to support security and traffic management. It is also considered more accessible for audiences and media.

The agreement with AEG will run from 2029 to 2039. In addition, a separate rights agreement will ensure that the Oscars are live-streamed globally on YouTube until 2033. The changes are intended to support technical improvements, live streaming capabilities, and audience experience.
