Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnav shared information about this scheme in a press conference. He said that this scheme is an important step towards increasing farmers' income, improving agricultural productivity, and making the agricultural sector self-reliant.
36 Schemes to be Integrated, Overall Benefits to be Provided
Under this scheme, the central government has decided to integrate 36 existing schemes. By bringing these schemes onto a single platform, comprehensive benefits will be provided to farmers. Its aim is to provide direct and effective benefits of the scheme to farmers. This will not only improve the implementation of the schemes, but will also ensure the proper utilization of resources.
Approved for Six Years, Focus on 100 Agricultural Districts
The government has approved the Pradhan Mantri Dhan-Dhanya Krishi Yojana for six years. Under this, 100 agricultural districts of the country will be developed. In these districts, farmers will be helped in storage facilities, improvement of irrigation infrastructure, and adopting sustainable agricultural techniques. This will accelerate agricultural development at the regional level and farmers will be able to connect with modern resources.

1. Increase in Storage Capacity
Under this scheme, the post-harvest storage capacity will be increased so that farmers can safely store their produce for a reasonable time and sell it at a fair price in the market.
