Prime Video has announced its new original series ‘Lukkhe’, directed by Himank Gaur. The series is set against the backdrop of Chandigarh’s rap culture and street life, focusing on the rivalry between two rappers.
The makers released an official video announcing the premiere date of the series. The video also introduces the main cast, presenting the characters in stylised appearances. The presentation indicates that the series has been developed with a focus on younger audiences.
‘Lukkhe’ revolves around the emergence of rap music and street rivalries in Chandigarh. The narrative centres on a face-off between two rappers, ‘MC Badnaam’ and ‘OG’. The storyline incorporates elements of competition, revenge, emotion and personal struggle. The series carries the tagline “Rap aur badla, dono loud hai,” reflecting its thematic focus.

The series features Rasika Dugal, King, Palak Tiwari and Lakshvir Saran in key roles. Supporting performances include Nakul Roshan Sahdev, Kritika Bhardwaj, Shivankit Parihar, Yograj Singh and Ayesha Raza Mishra.
The recently released introduction video showcases the characters in stylised visuals, highlighting rap battles, emotional confrontations and elements of street culture. According to the makers, the series aims to present a realistic depiction of India’s urban music scene.
‘Lukkhe’ is scheduled to premiere on Prime Video on May 8, 2026. The series will be released in Hindi and will be available for streaming in India and across more than 240 countries and territories.
