This step demonstrates the state government's readiness and accountability towards the public.
Compensation Distribution via Online Portal
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann stated that for the first time, an online portal was used to ensure transparency in compensation distribution. Through this portal, data of affected individuals was recorded and damage assessment was conducted. The Chief Minister said that this ensured no beneficiary faced injustice and everyone received their rightful amount on time.
He also mentioned that a total of Rs 6.70 crore has been distributed today to 669 affected individuals in Amritsar district. The remaining beneficiaries will also receive this amount directly in their bank accounts soon.
