Raja Raghuvanshi Murder: New Arrests and Evidence Destroyed in Shocking Case

New revelations are emerging daily in the Raja Raghuvanshi murder case. His wife, Sonam, her lover, and their accomplices are alleged to have conspired in the murder. Evidence has been destroyed, and the pistol and jewelry are still missing.

Raja Murder Case: New information is coming to light each day in the Raja Raghuvanshi murder case. The Meghalaya Police's Special Investigation Team (SIT) has arrested two individuals in Madhya Pradesh. Prominently among them is Silom James, a property dealer accused of concealing Sonam's belongings after the murder.

Sonam's Box Hidden in Indore Flat

After the murder, Sonam stayed in an Indore flat and hid her box there. The flat belongs to Silom James, who was arrested at the Bhorasa toll gate in Dewas district. According to the police, Silom was attempting to flee to Bhopal when apprehended. He is the lessee of the flat located in Hirabag Colony, Indore.

Jewelry and Other Belongings Kept in the Flat

Police say Sonam kept the jewelry, pistol, and other belongings she brought with her after the murder in this flat. However, the SIT found nothing during their investigation. Silom James later revealed that he had burned and destroyed the box.

Balla Ahirwar Also Arrested

Another accused, Balla Ahirwar, who assisted in hiding Sonam's belongings, was arrested from Ashoknagar district. He worked as a security guard at the same property. Both were produced in an Indore court and remanded to seven days of transit custody with the Meghalaya police.

According to the police, the burned box contained several crucial pieces of evidence related to the murder, including Raja Raghuvanshi's jewelry, a pistol, and a laptop. However, the forensic team did not find any usable evidence at the scene.

Conspiracy in Renting the Flat

Silom James rented the flat to Vishal Chauhan, a co-accused in the murder, on May 30th for ₹17,000 per month. This is the same flat where Sonam stayed after the murder. Sonam, Raghuvanshi's wife, remained in hiding in Indore for several days after the murder. She eventually surrendered to the police in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh, on June 8th.

Wedding, Honeymoon, and then Murder

Raja Raghuvanshi and Sonam were married on May 11th. On May 20th, they went to Meghalaya for their honeymoon. Raja went missing on May 23rd, and his body was found near a waterfall in East Khasi Hills on June 2nd. According to the police, Raja was murdered in a secluded area using two knives.

The police investigation suggests that Sonam conspired with her alleged lover, Raj Kushwah, and three of his friends to murder her husband. All of them have already been arrested and are in judicial custody in Meghalaya.
