A large-scale fraud has been exposed in the Rajasthan SI recruitment-2021, leading to the arrest of 63 sub-inspectors. Female candidate Varsha passed the exam for herself and others three times, while others resorted to leaked papers, Bluetooth devices, and dummy candidates.
Jaipur: A large-scale fraud has come to light in the much-talked-about Rajasthan SI recruitment 2021. So far, 63 sub-inspectors have been arrested. Investigations have revealed that many candidates achieved sub-inspector positions through corrupt methods.
The most shocking case is that of female sub-inspector Varsha, who not only appeared for the exam herself but also helped two other candidates pass. This incident has raised questions about the credibility of Rajasthan's recruitment system.
Five methods identified in the recruitment scam
- Through leaked solved papers – 41 sub-inspectors
- Using dummy candidates – 15 sub-inspectors
- Cheating via Bluetooth – 5 sub-inspectors
- Passing by obtaining answer keys at the center – 1 sub-inspector
- Passing by appearing for exams in place of others – 1 sub-inspector (Varsha)
All these methods have highlighted the weaknesses in the recruitment process and demonstrated the widespread corruption within the system.
Appeared for exams on behalf of two other female candidates
The most sensational case is that of Varsha. Varsha not only appeared for the exam herself but also helped two other female candidates pass the exam.
- On behalf of Indubala on September 13, 2021
- On behalf of Bhagwati on September 14, 2021
Both candidates were selected and secured ranks of 1139th and 239th respectively. The fraud was so cleverly executed that it went undetected in the initial investigation.
Appeared as dummy candidates in competitive exams
Varsha was previously a teacher in a government school. According to information, she had also appeared as a dummy candidate in other competitive examinations.
Among the arrested sub-inspectors, several had secured selection but later did not join, further escalating the gravity of the recruitment scam.
Special investigators state that this case is not limited to just one examination but is bringing to light the deep-rooted, large-scale fraud within the recruitment system.
Identification and action against other suspects involved in the recruitment process
Considering the seriousness of the matter, the Rajasthan Police and SOG have formed a special investigation team and are preparing to ensure strict punishment for the accused sub-inspectors. Other suspects involved in the recruitment process will also be identified and legal action will be taken against them.
The investigation has revealed that this scam highlights corruption and lack of transparency in the recruitment system. Strict security measures will be implemented to prevent such incidents in the future.
