Ram Charan and Upasana Konidela have officially announced the names of their newborn twins following a traditional Indian naming ceremony, formally introducing their son and daughter to family and the public.

The couple welcomed their twins on January 31. The naming ceremony was conducted in accordance with religious faith and family traditions, attended by close family members and friends.

In Indian culture, the naming ceremony is regarded as an important rite associated with a child’s spiritual and cultural identity.

The couple named their son Shivram and their daughter Anveera Devi. Ram Charan said selecting the names was a personal and spiritual decision for both of them. He stated, "For both of us, the naming was a personal and spiritual decision. We discussed it extensively, but our parents were an important part of this journey. In our culture, the blessings and guidance of elders hold great significance.

The name Anveera Devi combines elements reflecting strength and divinity.

‘Veera’ means brave.
‘An’ signifies limitless or infinite.
‘Devi’ represents divinity and feminine power.

Accordingly, Anveera Devi signifies infinite courage and divine feminine power.

The name Shivram is inspired by two Hindu deities — Lord Shiva and Lord Ram. The name is associated with strength, restraint, devotion and adherence to dharma.

The twins were born in the same room as their elder sister. According to reports, the timing of their birth was chosen keeping astrological beliefs in mind.

Ram Charan and Upasana were married in 2012. In June 2023, they welcomed their first daughter, Klin Kaara. With the arrival of the twins, their family has expanded further.
