World Premiere at Venice Film Festival 2025

According to a report by Variety, 'Secret of Mountain Serpent' will have its world premiere at the prestigious Venice Film Festival in 2025. This is not only a matter of pride for Indian cinema, but it also demonstrates how Indian filmmakers are now making their presence felt globally. The story of 'Secret of Mountain Serpent' is set in a hill town in the 1990s. 

The film revolves around the life of a school teacher whose husband is stationed at the country's border. Most of the men in the town are away in search of work. In this social circumstance, the protagonist feels the emotional void in her life and is drawn to a neighboring man. The film portrays the complexities of a woman's mind and her loneliness in a social situation with great nuance and sensitivity.

Directed by Nidhi Saxena

This film is directed by the talented filmmaker Nidhi Saxena. Previously, she made the acclaimed film 'Sad Letters of an Imaginary Woman,' which had its world premiere at the Busan International Film Festival 2024. Nidhi's directing style is full of depth, sensitivity, and artistic expression.

Previously, they produced the film 'Girls Will Be Girls' under 'Pushing Buttons Studios,' which won two awards at the Sundance Film Festival. That film was directed by Shuchi Talati and starred Preeti Panigrahi and Kani Kusruti in the lead roles.
