Ritesh Pandey, the popular Bhojpuri film industry actor and singer, surprised everyone by joining Jan Suraj, the party led by Prashant Kishor, on Friday, July 18, 2025. Ritesh, famous nationwide for his superhit song '‘Hello Kaun’', made an emotional appeal to the public from the stage on this occasion, saying that the people of Bihar are still forced to migrate and work as laborers. He said that now is the time for change in the system, and this change is only possible through the thinking and hard work of leaders like Prashant Kishor.
Ritesh Pandey also sang a special song in support of Jan Suraj from the stage
We want a new Bihar...
We want employment in Bihar itself...
We want the people to have Jan Suraj...
Through this song, he conveyed his thoughts and the party's agenda to the public. Ritesh's entry into the party is being considered a major step in terms of Jan Suraj's cultural reach.
Pledge to serve the public after VRS
Along with Ritesh Pandey, Jai Prakash Singh, former ADG of Himachal Pradesh Police and senior IPS officer, also joined Jan Suraj. He announced his formal association with PK's movement after taking VRS.
JP Singh said that just as Gandhiji undertook a padyatra across the country during the freedom struggle, Prashant Kishor listened to the people by going from village to village in Bihar for change. He was deeply impressed by this dedication and felt that now he too should play an active role in this campaign.
He said that he studied at a government school in Ekma block of Bihar, could not even go to Chhapra, worked in the army and Airport Authority, then became an IPS officer by securing All India Rank 59. He said, now is the time for us to become the voice of the youth and the poor of our state. He will fulfill whatever responsibility the party gives him with complete honesty.
PK welcomed his colleagues
Prashant Kishor thanked Ritesh Pandey and JP Singh for joining the party and said that Jan Suraj gives importance to those people who have struggled and achieved something while living in Bihar. PK said that change will not come from speeches alone, but real change will come when people understand their responsibility and are ready to fight against the system.
PK also added that the strength of Bihar lies in its villages and youth. Now Jan Suraj is moving forward in the direction of uniting that power and creating a new Bihar.
