Sanjay Raut: Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) MP Sanjay Raut has bly opposed the India-Pakistan cricket match by writing a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He termed it an inhumane step and said that until the blood of the country's soldiers has dried and the tears of the bereaved families have stopped, there should be no sports relations of any kind with Pakistan.

Mention of Pahalgam Attack

Sanjay Raut wrote in his letter that the families of the soldiers martyred in the Pahalgam attack are still in pain. Their tears have not yet stopped. In such a time, playing cricket with Pakistan in the Asia Cup is like sprinkling salt on the wounds of those martyrs and their families.

Raut said that Prime Minister Modi himself has said that blood and water cannot flow together. Now the question is, if blood and water cannot flow together, then how can blood and cricket flow together?

What Sanjay Raut said in the letter written to PM Modi

Sanjay Raut also shared his letter on social media platform X. He wrote that Prime Minister Ji, this decision is against the sentiments of crores of people in the country. The wounds of the Pahalgam attack have not yet healed and this step of playing cricket with Pakistan is not only inhumane but also an insult to the sacrifice of the martyrs.

Questions to the Central Government

Sanjay Raut also wrote in his letter that according to media reports, the central government has given the green signal to the India-Pakistan match in the Asia Cup. He questioned whether this decision could have been taken without the approval of the Prime Minister and the Home Ministry.

He further said that betting and online gambling are played on a large scale during cricket matches with Pakistan. The names of some political people also come up in this. Hinting, he said that the connection of Jay Shah, the head of the Cricket Board, is also with the ruling party, which raises further questions on this decision.

Called it an insult to the valor of the soldiers

Sanjay Raut told the Prime Minister that playing cricket with Pakistan is an insult to the valor and martyrdom of our soldiers. He said that Shyama Prasad Mukherjee and thousands of soldiers have sacrificed their lives to protect Kashmir. In such a situation, by playing cricket with the enemy country, we are ignoring their sacrifice.

Raut said that if these matches were held in Maharashtra, Balasaheb Thackeray's Shiv Sena would never have allowed them to happen. He alleged that the current government is prioritizing relations with Pakistan instead of Hindutva and patriotism.

Questions raised on "Blood and Cricket"

The most important part of Sanjay Raut's letter is the line in which he wrote – Now, will blood and cricket flow together? This question is echoing in the minds of every citizen of the country. He says that as long as Pakistan continues to promote terrorism and our soldiers continue to be martyred, it is not right to send a message of friendship on the sports field.
