In the match against the Thai pair, Satwik and Chirag faced a close defeat in the first set, which was won by the Thai duo 21-18. However, the Indian pair made a remarkable comeback thereafter. Displaying aggressive play in the second set, they secured a 21-15 victory, leveling the match at 1-1.
In the decisive third set, the Satwik-Chirag pair decisively defeated the Thai duo 21-11 with their smashes, quick reflexes, and strategic play. In this match that lasted for approximately an hour and a half, the Indian players exhibited an excellent example of mental and physical resilience.
Previously, in the Round of 32, Satwik-Chirag faced a Taiwanese pair. The Indian pair secured a brilliant victory in the first set with a score of 21-13. However, they faced a defeat in the second set with a score of 18-21. Nevertheless, they strengthened their grip in the decisive third set, winning 21-10 and making their way to the Round of 16.
