Suffered from Kidney Ailment
Satyapal Malik was admitted to RML Hospital on May 11 due to a urinary problem. During treatment, his kidney condition worsened, due to which he had to be shifted to the ICU. He was treated in the hospital for about three months but finally breathed his last on Tuesday.
The news of his demise was shared from his official X (formerly Twitter) account, after which leaders, fans, and the general public paid tribute to him.
Political Career: Governor in Several States
Satyapal Malik's political career spanned nearly five decades. He served on several important constitutional posts:

Satyapal Malik was the Governor of Jammu and Kashmir when the central government abolished Article 370 on August 5, 2019. Satyapal Malik played an important role in implementing this decision.
