Uddhav and Raj Thackeray Unite in Mumbai for Marathi Victory Rally

Uddhav and Raj Thackeray, after 20 years, shared a stage in Mumbai for a 'Marathi Victory Rally,' uniting on issues of Marathi language, identity, and political rights. They voiced opposition to Hindi imposition and central government policies.

Maharashtra: A historic scene unfolded at the NSCI Dome in Worli, Mumbai, on Friday, as Uddhav Thackeray and Raj Thackeray appeared on the same stage after nearly 20 years. This joint public meeting, organized by Shiv Sena (UBT) and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), was titled the 'Marathi Victory Rally.' The rally became a symbol of unity for Marathi identity, language, and rights.

Thackeray Cousins Reunited After Two Decades

Uddhav Thackeray began his speech at the rally with emotional words. He said, "We have come together, to stay together." He also mentioned that some people played a significant role in bridging the gap between him and Raj Thackeray. He sent a clear message from the stage that they are now united for Marathi pride and identity.

Fight for Marathi Language and Culture

In his speech, Uddhav Thackeray emphasized the importance of the Marathi language and culture. He stated that the insult of Marathi would no longer be tolerated. He warned that they were ready to respond to those who speak or act against Marathi. He also said that this fight is to protect Marathi identity, which would not be allowed to weaken at any cost.

Targeting the Central Government

Uddhav Thackeray also directly attacked the Modi government at the center. He said that the government operates on a 'use and throw' policy, but now it's the turn of the Marathi people. He declared that they would now oust them from power. Targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he asked, "You are looking for everyone's school, but has information about Modi Ji's school ever been found?"

No Politics on Hindutva Will Work

Uddhav Thackeray stated that no single person has a right over Hindutva. We don't need to be taught Hindutva. Recalling the 1992 riots, he said that at that time, the Marathi people of Mumbai saved the lives of Hindus. Responding to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis' statement, he said, "If anyone acts like a goon regarding our language, then we are also goons."

Opposition to Hindi Imposition

Uddhav Thackeray also accused the central government of imposing Hindi. He said, "We accept Hindus and Hindustan, but not Hindi. We will not tolerate the forceful imposition of Hindi. Not even seven generations can impose Hindi on us."

He argued that the identity of Maharashtra, and especially Mumbai, lies in its Marathi culture and language. If there are attempts to weaken it, it will hurt the soul of the entire state.

Concern Over Mumbai Lands Going to Adani

Uddhav Thackeray also said that we should be ashamed that most of Mumbai's lands have gone to Adani today. He stated that commercial interests are now outweighing the sacrifices of the martyrs who gave their lives for this city. He called it an attack on Mumbai's identity and pride.
