Mohan Bhagwat Emphasizes Social Unity and Hindu Society's Core Values in Pune Address

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat attended an event in Pune today, where he shed light on the core objective of the Sangh, stating that the Sangh's work is to connect the entire Hindu society with affection and a sense of belonging.

Maharashtra: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat shared his views today by attending a program in Pune. This program was organized on the occasion of the release of a book based on the life of the renowned Ayurvedic physician and social worker, Vaidya PVI Khadiwale. In his address, Mohan Bhagwat emphasized the importance of the proper use of intellect and the feeling of affection and belonging in society.

Mohan Bhagwat said that the biggest difference between humans and animals is intelligence, but if humans misuse this intelligence, it can also be the cause of their downfall. He said that with intelligent use, humans can make life better, but if it is used for selfishness, anger, or hatred, then that same intelligence makes them bad.

He said that the thing that prevents humans from going towards evil is the feeling of belonging and compassion. If this feeling remains in society, then people will have an attitude of cooperation and love for each other, which will strengthen society.

Emphasis on Social Unity

Mohan Bhagwat said that the objective of the Sangh is to connect the Hindu society with the feeling of affection and unity. He said that the Sangh continuously tries to remind society of such values that people are forgetting in the present time. He gave an example, if someone shows you affection, then you should also have affection and compassion towards them. This feeling connects society and helps in removing evil.

He further said that Hindu society has always adopted the idea of connecting the whole world. Today, the concept of ‘giving back’ that is discussed in English has been present in the culture of India for centuries. He said, our society has always believed in working for the benefit of others.

Tribute to Vaidya Khadiwale

Mohan Bhagwat also remembered the contribution of Ayurvedic physician Vaidya Khadiwale on this occasion. He said that Khadiwale dedicated his life to taking Ayurveda to the masses and working with a spirit of philanthropy. Bhagwat appealed to the audience to carry forward the values and ideals of Vaidya Khadiwale.

He said, Khadiwale ji showed us how medicine can become not just a profession, but also a service. We should take inspiration from them and live for society.

Discussion on Collective Ideology

During the program, Mohan Bhagwat also mentioned his recent visit to Nagpur. He reiterated that no big work can be accomplished by a single person. Giving the example of the freedom struggle, he said that the country's independence was not the contribution of a single person, but it was the result of collective effort.

He said, the Sangh also has the same philosophy that collective thinking and collective effort are necessary for the good of society. Bhagwat further said that the work of the Sangh is not just the responsibility of a few people, but of the entire society. When society moves forward with a feeling of belonging and collectivity, only then will true unity and development be possible in the country.
