PM Modi Awarded Cyprus' Highest Civilian Honor

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been awarded Cyprus' highest civilian honor. President Nikos Christodoulides bestowed upon him the Grand Cross of the Order of Makarios III.

PM Modi Highest Honour: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has once again received a top civilian honor on the international stage. This time, the award was conferred by the Cypriot government in recognition of his global leadership, strengthening of bilateral relations, and India's impactful role on international forums.

The Cypriot President awarded PM Modi the ‘Grand Cross of the Order of Makarios III,’ Cyprus' highest civilian award. This brings the total number of highest civilian honors bestowed upon Prime Minister Modi by various countries to 21.

Accepting the honor, Prime Minister Modi stated, "I dedicate this honor to the deep friendly ties and shared values between India and Cyprus. This is not just an honor for Narendra Modi, but a recognition of the capabilities, aspirations, and the 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam' philosophy of 1.4 billion Indians."

He further added that India and Cyprus would collaborate in the future not only to elevate their relationship but also to strengthen cooperation for global peace and stability.
